At the beginning of the month, my friend Jim brought out his Jaeger to shoot. I loved the lines, so I took a few photos:

Enjoy! I just wish it were mine...

Very nice rifle.
How did it shoot? Show us pics of such a outstanding german style rifle.

Is it a custom?

Regards

Yes, it's custom. I believe it was .54cal. He said he had picked it up years ago at a rendevous, but this was his first time shooting it! Go figure. :shocked2:

He didn't remember anything more, so I can't add much, except that he was on the paper offhand @ 50 yds, in the scoring rings, which isn't too bad for a first attempt w/ a rifle, at least in my opinion.

That would be kinda like getting married and never consummating the marraige, just not done! :rotf: :rotf:

Guns are for shooting, cars are for driving and so on and not for have a look at.

Well, he's been really into Cowboy shooting, like I have, until I decided to set the time machine further back.

Now I go up to the range, most of the time with two guns, and I end up shooting one of them! I just shoot whichever one fits my fancy first, and then the thought steals over me: "do I realy wantto clean the other one too?" So I just shoot the first one some more.
