Looking for good clear photos of the rifle used by John Wayne in THE ALAMO. It was made by Hacker Martin and was a half stock .36 cal percussion. Need to know the barrel length and any other information on this gun. Where is it now ? As I understand it Wayne had Hacker Martin copy the "Nashville Crockett rifle" on display at the Alamo. I've got info on that gun if anyone is interested. Also have a photo of "Pretty Betsy" the fancy gun presented to Crockett by the young Whigs of Philadelphia. I can post that as well.
