Jug Choke: "Improved Cylinder Plus"

At the beginning of the year I had Lowell Tennyson in Iowa Jug Choke a GM .62cal Flint smoothbore barrel to Full choke for Turkey & Trap, he did a great job and the barrel worked exactly as intended.

Liked it so much I sent him another GM .62cal to Jug Choke...this time as a general upland game barrel choked "Improved Cylinder Plus"...halfway between Imp. Cyl. and modified...(sort of an "Improved - Improved Cylinder")...said that would be a .016” expansion chamber.

Plan to use it for doves, crows, and skeet (singles)...UPS has it on it's way back...should get here in time so I can range test it, maybe hunt it, late next week over a long 4th of July weekend break...will post results.

I haven't taken any actual vacation since the holidays and am planning to take Thursday & Friday along with Wednesday (and Saturday)...hope to make smoke every morning...I hate heat & humidity so like this morning, I get up, drive 30 miles, set up, and start shooting a 50 shot session by 7:00am...back in the garage out of the sun by 9:30am cleaning the rifle :grin:

Progress...
Big Brown brought my barrel back today...I got all the parts reinstalled with 'Gun-Tite', cleaned and lubed it good, got all the supplies loaded in the truck...will see if it'll give me a strong 25-30 yard pattern of #6s in the morning.
