Jug Choking

Does anybody know of a gunsmith who will jug choke a barrel?

Just got off the phone with him not 10 minutes ago. He's going to jug choke a 20g for me. Be sure to give him a call first because he needs to know what type of choke you need. Just a little FYI, he told me to take off all the sights and underlugs before I sent him the barrel.
He charges $60 to do it plus $15 shipping and insurance. He's going out of town on the 9th and will be returning 2 weeks after.

Any idea on the turn around time,from when he recieves it to when the job is done and shipped out? I build guns myself and I wouldn't want to rush him but with the season upon us it's just a question. Maybe I'll wait till after hunting season.

I would think it should take more than 2 weeks to get a barrel back from him. He told me he only does 2-3 a month... most of his business come from Mike Brooks. :rotf:
Roundball had a barrel choked by him and according to him it's the greatest thing ever. Good enough recommendation for me.

Ed Rayle finished a 51 inch New England Fowler barrel for me early in August,and shipped it to Lowell on 5 August 2006. I got a phone call from Lowell on Tuesday of this week, and he told me that he had jug choked 30 thousandst and shipped the barrel to David Dodds in Pennsylvania,that day...Tuesday. I had an email from Dave Dodds today that the barrel had been delivered :winking:. Pretty quick turnaround for precision work :thumbsup:.
