Got this from a member of this forum. Don't remember who or how much. Never shot it, don't have the right size balls. Didn't want to invest in any either.
I does pop a cap good. Bore is rifled and shiny.
Asking $155 , that's with shipping included. Will consider trade offers. Mostly revolvers. Running or not. Can add $ if needed.

I think yours would be the Kentucky pistol. Don't know what this style is called.
Yep, that is it. Had to look back at my records. It was my first BP and was way too much fun to shoot. Full disclosure: I did 'launch' the ramrod down range on my second outing. It did bury itself in the stump I was aiming at!

This was the first muzzleloading pistol I built. I bought it as a kit in upstate NY for $35.00 in 1976. The trigger pull, if I remember correctly, was about 10lbs.

... just Googled "inflation conversion of $35 in 1976 to 2024 value"

$35 in 1976 = $193.44 in 2024

Pretty fair price by that calculation!

Got mine (Kentucky version) as a BD gift from my son several decades ago and would be hard pressed to put a 'value' on it. But despite the Made in Spain origin, it is a nicer shooter than the Lyman. Patched ball size was .440.

I bought the kits, both the Kentucky pistol and rifle. Back in 2000. That got me hooked. About 15 years ago I got the CVA 32 caliber kit rifle. And after that I can't remember how many black powder guns I've had in my hands. Not to mention my collection of Henrys and Marlins. And all the guns I've worked on for family and friends.
