Here is just another powder horn I recently finished that is approximately 12 1/2 inches around the outside curve and 2 1/4" across the base. __ I made a hollowed-out beehive base for added powder storage with a solid brass strap knob. ___ I engraved a grumpy old Grizzly on it and used the darker area behind him to kind of represent a cave or den effect.

Thanks for looking!

Rick

Horner, I like that allot, really like the bear, your scrims of animals seems to get better with each one you do. wish I had a small lathe to do some of those rounded butts, love that beehive you did.

Rick, like Mongo said, if them animals get any better they are gonna be coming off the horn and biting somebody

Rick, that shading is a really good touch to the overall look. I like it...Bud

Outstanding as usual Rick!
I have yet to see anyone that can scrim the animals as well as you do.
Did you pose in front of the mirror for the grumpy ole griz? :stir: :rotf:
Top shelf work my friend! :hatsoff:

Wow Rick, did I say WOW! Your scrim has always impressed me but that bear is almost life like!

Really great work!

now, if you put that to your ear and your lucky, you hear the bear growling. if you put that to your ear and you're not lucky, the bear bites your ear off.
