For those forum members in Kentucky - the Kentucky Afield Show on public televison this weekend will be devoted to flintlock deer hunting. I set up the show's host, Tim Farmer with a hunt and a flintlock pistol and he was able to harvest a nice doe with it - on camera. He was pretty happy about it as you can see in the photo below. Should be worth checking it out. See - http://fw.ky.gov/kyaftvsched.asp?lid=1569&NavPath=C105C191C516C460

It's a .50, I load it with a .015" patch and a .490 ball in front of 55 grains of 3F Wano, she does real well - real tack driver for a pistol. I did an extensive range report on this gun a few years ago - see Post#361413

Dang, I missed this. I was away from the TV Sat night and was out shooting on Sunday afternoon. Did anyone record it?

It is nice to see something regarding hunting on TV that doesn't involve a modern in-line muzzleloader. It seems every time I turn on the HUNT channel or Versus if there is a muzzleloader hunt it is with a Knight, etc.

Good job.

Nice job J.R. keep up the good work and just maybe we will see more REAL front stuffers on the tube.
