Anyone been to this shindig before? I was planning on going and wondered if they would have lotsa MLers to look over. By the way its this weekend 23rd and 24th at the Louisville expo thingy. I guess its where they have the state fair.

It's at the Louisville Fairgrounds (they also hold one in Lexington, but I am told it is not as good). It is supposed to be the largest gunshow in the world. There are USUALLY a fair number of antique gun dealers there. Sometimes there is lots of interesting stuff, sometimes, there ain't much of nothin'! It's a hit or miss thing. I ALMOST bought a late Moll rifle there that had been sanded down (haven't they all...), but not horribly badly, and you could still see the remnants of painted-on stripes! The guy wanted $2100 for it, and I just happened to have $1900 on me (which is an incredibly rare occurrence!), and almost offered it to him, but declined to do so. I've seen some really neat stuff there before. It's definitely worth the trip if you're nearby. I need to get up there again sometime soon. They have a show every couple of months or so.
