I thought I would share the project I am currently working on. It is a Kibler Colonial Ive had for a while that is .54 rifled. Ive wanted a smoothbore for some time now, and having the desire to always be different I knew I wanted to build off my current platform. So I ordered the largest bore size Kibler offered (58 smooth) and sent it off to Bob Hoyt. I told him to bore as large as he deemed safe which ended up being .620 or 20gauge in shotgun terms. I will update as I go, but wanted to go ahead and share the photos of the freshly rebored barrel. From researching on the forum I havent been able to find anyone else who has had a Kibler barrel bored out.Attached are photos of the barrel, how it fit unaltered into the stock, and the weights of everything.
