Finished all my musical instrument orders and now it's finally time to start working on my Kibler .54 cal Colonial Flintlock kit. 🙂
It looks really good with minimal fitting work. Jim also has building tutorial videos on the internet as well, which is a wonderful resource.
This one has a Cherry stock,. I ordered it without the wood patch box, as I want to inlet a brass one.
I have been looking forward to this build, particularly since most of the fitting work is done and I can concentrate more on the carving.

Ooops- I forgot to post updates on the Kibler build. Attached are a few photos of my progress. The Patchbox is in (I have cleaned it up a bit since taking these pics) and I am putting the finishing touches on the carved cheep piece area. Next I think will be the pipes. Or maybe the Lock mortise area... not sure.
