I know these arent PC correct but doesnt matter,I like them anyways..Had a friend do the scrimshaw with Native Americans on the elk antler handles..Sent them off to another friend so he could make the sheaths for them..

Like look good on my PC. I like them too much. Made me drool on my PC keyboard. Even the sheaths are splendid leathercraft. :thumbsup:

RickD,
I'm with you,PC or not those are beautiful!
snake-eyes:applause::bow::thumbsup:

Very nice blades Rick! :thumbsup: The scrim work is incredable! I see some activity in the steel along the blades. What type of steel, heat treat, etc.? Tell us about them, please. Specs, man! We need specs! :yakyak:

The blades are made from 1095 and have been triple quenched,they do have a hamon line that is coverd by the acid etching..I etched the blades mostly because I dont like a shiney blade..The smaller knife blade is around 11" and the larger one is 12"

That was a quick reply. :grin: I like the acid etch on a blade! It really helps to bring out the activity in the steel. Once again, Great job! :bow:

Thanks,I`m learning to work with damascus now..In time I`ll post a few blades made from it

Rick, they look good from my chair. I like the leather on the scrimmed knife. Is that a feather carved into the front? Bud

I'd be proud to own, but afraid to use, any of those. All of the craftsmanship involved is outstanding, but the scrim work is just jaw-dropping!

Aaron,
I use all my knives and I have a few..I never think of them as art knives,just knives..If anyone has a knife they would like scrimshawed let me know or if you want one rehandled
