I am now ready to blue a few parts and I am wondering how touch the L.M. browning solution is when you use it to Rust Blue. I did an old nose cap and it turned out satisfactory, but I need to do the butt plate and tang. The butt plate concerns me because of the rubbing against the shoulder. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to all that helped me with the pewter nose cap, it turned out great.

I find it to be fairly durable, but any finish will wear off when the buttplate is placed in the sand while loading. It can be touched up with cold blue.
