Very large and fairly straight powder horn. It has threaded brass fittings at both ends, a braided leather carry strap and stores up to one pound of powder. Just over 15 inches length and 2.5 to 3 inches diameter at the base.
I recently re-polished, to buff out some light scratches, and sealed it with 3 coats of permalyn. There is a small repair near the base, completely tight, but a 3/4-inch crack is visible (photo of the area below).
