TVM gives you a choice of rifled barrels up to .62 in several of the rifles they offer.

Many of the 62s discussed on the forum are actually smoothbore 20 gauges (.615 cal) being used to fire ball.

FWIW, Green Mountain makes a .62cal drop in for your 1" Hawken stock...

roundball,
Are the .62s smoothbore or can you get one rifled?

To be honest I don't know...have to dig around GM's websight...you'd think they would though, being a barrel company and already making .62cal in smoothbore...(they make an excellent .58cal rifle barrel)

I have looked and Dug, and it was not clear....if they had a rifled model or not?

Time for a e-mail....!

Agree...I didn't see one listed either...call and ask 'Kerry'...they often have things in inventory that are not listed on their website.

ie: their excellent .54cal Flint smoothbore drop-in for a 15/16" Hawken stock...a fantastic barrel, excellent shot pattern, outstanding PRB accuracy...it's definitely become "...the one I'd keep if I could keep only one muzzleloader...".

I heard about it through the grapevine and sure enough they had them in inventory but not listed on the website.

Also...GM is pretty good about making what you need when the request is very close to something they already make anyway...they cobbled together a couple of Flint barrel versions for me that they normally don't make...so it never hurts to ask
