Found a new-old stock (1995) Pietta blue M58 Remington .44 at a shop in SE PA today. New in box, came from another shop that sold out. While there, noticed a stainless Ruger Old Army as new; price; $1100.00! Plus 6% sales tax, of course. Whew!

Is that what a like-new SS ROA is worth these days?? Seems like a lot!

I just discovered a blue ROA I've got is the fixed-sights version. I didn't know they came with anything but the adjustable style rear sight.

I'm not finding much info on the fixed sight version so what can you tell me about it? From the little I've found it appears there weren't that many made and they're more desirable. True?

Besides being scarcer, why are they more desirable?

Sass competition as noted, they’re also better looking and even though the sights are smaller than the targ versions I find them easier to aquire rapidly.
