This was new but never used surplus research laboratory lead. When dropped on concrete, this lead does not ring at all but makes a big THUMP. This indicates the lead is dead soft. I use it in all my muzzleloaders.

My .50 cal. roundballs are 175 grains. Roughly, 51.4 pound makes approximately 2,056 roundballs in .50 cal. at 5.7 cents/roundball.
