Hello,
I have some rather thick leather that I got on ebay. It's about 2 mm thick and I have it in folded bundles. It is rather stiff and I was wondering how one softened it so that it can be used and also how one cuts it.

Thanks in advance.

Depending on how it was made and made for it may not get soft. Get some kitchen shears and try them for cutting. IF you can get a small piece off try rubbing it on it self or on a block to soften it. You may want to try using some leather conditioner like neatsfoot oil or mink oil to soften it as well.
