Leather source for mocs

Hey all,

I'm thinking on a moc project for this winter. Anyone got suggestions for a source of good leather? Do you have a type/thickness that you prefer when you make mocs? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I have obtained commercially tanned leather for mocs from these two companies. I have been happy with both, and I prefer elk or moose, as there is more cushion on the thicker leather, and they wear longer before one needs to patch holes.

Thanks LD. Do you usually use "mocassin" weight or do you prefer a thinner leather?

I'm almost 50, with plantar fasciitus on the left foot, so I use as thick as I can get. :grin: The thinner the leather the more easy it is to wear holes that need patching too.
