Well, I'm off to Parry Sound , ON for deer season in the morning. I just talked to my father, and he says he's been seeing lots of bucks. I was going to use my .45 Kentucky flinter, but my mother wants to hang up the .30-30, and give the flinter a whirl, so I'll use the .50 percussion that I shot the moose with. The season opens on Monday so mom'll have 2 afternoon's to re aquaint herself with BP (she hasn't fired it in a few years. Man, I'm so pumped this year! I'm only bringing the .308 for days when I'm dogging in the pouring rain, other than that, I'm going to try to stick with BP. Good luck to everyone else that're hearing out to the woods.

Well got back yesterday. It rained every day but one, so I only used the muzzleloader once (no shot). We got 4 altogether for six of us, an 8 point, 5 point, doe (I shot the doe), and button buck, and had to work hard for every one. Super high winds, and pouring down rain made for a tough hunt. Still better than the best day at work though. Mom and Dad still have a week to hunt though, and I'm sure they will tag out. Overall, tired but content. Still gonna bow hunt in Windsor with my additional tag, and am already looking forward to next year up north.
