Ask questions to be sure the timing is correct.
I didn't know to ask, and the LeMat I bought wouldn't fire, as the hammer would hit the cylinder beside the nipple, outside of the nipple pocket. I'm no smith, so I'll have to get it worked over.
Otherwise,
Welcome to the forum, and I hope you find a good'un.
Ask a question, and you'll get answers. Some will be good, and some will leave you scratching your head...

Thanks for the welcome.
Sorry to hear that the Lemat you bought needs work.

I know about the timing on the LeMat, I’ve had two and they both did that. One chain fired on me twice. I got rid of them. I should have kept one just for a wall hanger but I was so disappointed and upset. I’ve been working on guns for over 50 years and never seen anything like that. The way the cylinder stop pin and the hand work are like something I’ve never seen. I couldn’t figure out how to time that thing. The hammer actually rocks from side to side. I tried correcting that with a shim. That didn’t work. Maybe bending the hammer might have worked. Frustration got the best of me and I no longer own one.
