I'm going to be there Friday. Can anybody tell me if it's acceptable to bring firearms to do some horse trading? I recognize that the vendors pay to be there and that they'd like to make a buck. I'm not sure how frequently they buy or trade stuff and I'm not sure if other folks trade or sell stuff in the parking lot.

I'll definitely be purchasing a few things and want to help out the vendors as much as I can but I also have a few guns that I'm looking to sell to finance my next project.

I wouldn't call the people selling vendors, they are builders selling their own pieces of long rifle art. This is not the type of show to stock up on round balls or cut patches. However, if you want to buy a hand made, by some of the best, shooting pouch or horn, this is the show. I've seen guys walking in the parking lot with rifles that were heading to the building, so I would imagine that selling by the attendees does go on.
Most builders are there to take orders, they are all backed up, but there are always some guns for sale. This is the second best show I ever attended, the best being the CLA show in Lexington Kentucky. But I heard that there is a excellent show in Baltimore, I will investigate. See you on Friday.

Stonewall Creek Outfitters will be there with round balls and patches as well as gun parts galore.

This ain't the first time I was wrong and it won't be the last. With that said, supplies are the last things on my mind when so many of the great builders will be there showing their wares.
I enjoy talking to the people face to face that I read about all year in the books and magazines. If you are just starting out building a kit or making a shooting bag, the people are there that will answer your questions and give advice on your project. Everyone will have one thing in common, they welcome new comers because new comers are needed to keep this American Art form alive.

The show is mostly for the craftsman that have tables. The craftsman are juried ahead of time to maintain the quality if the show.I don't know what you have for sale but i would clear it with the organizers ahead of time.

See everyone there!!!

tallbear, I appreciate the opportunity to see all the craftspeople's wares and wouldn't want to cause any problem with anyone so I won't even try to sell anything there. I'm really looking forward to the show.

New this year, will be a fourth room for vendors with parts and building supplies, just down the hall from the antique room.

Don't be jealous, but I got to handle your fowler last week when I stopped by Mark's. It's a beauty. He has a copy of a John Rupp rifle in progress for me. Can't say enough good things about his work.

I will be there all day Sat helping to check for hand stamps at one of the doors. Looking foreward to wandering around on Friday eve. BJH
