Lidu is made in China. I caught a LOT of flak on other boards because of it. Some say it is junk, extremely cruddy, nothing more than firecracker powder sold as gunpowder, etc. etc. etc. The wife and I go through more than 35 pounds of 3f BP annually. Which starts adding up quickly at $15.00 @ lb. Chinese powder at half that price was worth me testing it out for us.
I found it possibly/maybe dirtier than Goex (since I swab between every shot anyways, no big deal there). An hours work at the range to find that "sweet load" resulted in just as much accuracy as any powder I've tried. I did find however, that it doesn't work in those low charge ranges that I use in my pistol shooting. 18 to 20 grains loads in a 45 cal pistols doesn't make it. I have to use Goex or Swiss when I compete at the nationals.
On rifles, I have to be using at least 45 grains in a 40 cal to get good groups with a tight fitting patch ball combination at 25 yds. 65 grains just nails it at 100 yds.
Can't hurt to try it, :results: depending on weather conditions where you live. I like it and $250.00 savings per annum makes me happy. ::
