I was messin around with some pine kindeling and I had an iron serpent style side plate sitting around. Well I am going to make a display piece ball block, not a user, a wall hanger so I did.
Hummm let me try somthing with this pine. I know I will put it in the toaster, yeah good idea !
So the next morning when my daughter was getting ready for school my wife made toast for her. "Mommy this toast tastes bad". Oh no, I know whats comming now SWMBO says "Did YOU put somthing in the toaster ?" The only answer I could give in order to secure domestic tranquility was "Noooo, bet ya its crumbs in the bottom of the toaster or somthing I will look at it later"
I guess the pine oils leached out and stuck to the wires in the toaster but it did an Ok job on the pine. The loading block on the otherhand somehow didnt look like I had invisioned it and now the patches and balls as well as the side plate have been rescued and the pine has returned to the kindeling pile. I am going to look for a used $1 toaster at yard sales and toast up some curly Maple and see how that works out.

:shake: ya don't toast pine... ya bake it....usually with a carp on it...

:haha:

:nono: :nono: That is funny....dangerous, but funny. Dangerous as in your wife would kill you. :rotf: :rotf:

And WHAT was the reason to put wood in a toaster?? A propane torch would scorch the wood or turn it toasty brown if that is what you are after. Were you trying to put the shape of the iron serpent sideplate on the wood?

A good heat gun on high will blaze it if you don't keep it moving. Nothing like a little turpentine first thing in the morning to get the day started. :rotf:
