Here’s the haul. The pistol was started by a fellow that died and the powder was his as well. The curly maple stock maybe just fire wood as the inletting was done with dull tools and the parts weren’t filed and finished before inletting. There’s plenty of wood so I may shape it and re-inlet it before tossing it. The barrel is 40 calibre by Greenriver, lock is Dixie and the brass is useful. Trigger is good too. I started by taking the lock apart to refit and deal with the typical issues. The frizzen spring is grossly over powered so I’ve thinned it and drew the temper a bit. Plenty of work to be done before summer.
