Since I am using a swamped barrel, the lock panels follow the breech area "swamp" and are not parallel.

How are the lockbolts done?

Perpendicular to the lock, but angled rearward on the lockplate, with angled counterbores on the sideplate?

Perpendicular with the bore, and compromised on both lock and sideplate?

Perpendicular to the lock, and the bolt heads also perpendicular to the sideplate due to "cross your fingers" flex?

Or, better yet, can you show this on your class Mike?

Thank You.

OK, you've asked a good question. I put my lockbolts perpendicular to the center line of the barrel. Anything else is too iffy. If I was inclined to angle anything not perpendicular to the bore, I'd make it perpendicuolar to the sideplate so the bolt heads would be flush. But the old timers took a drill, eyeballed it, and started drilling. Since I inlet the lock first, then drill the holes for the lock, then design the sideplate around the holes, then.... I just do it as simply as possible.
