Lock Issue.

I have a CVA 32 cal Squirrel that has set trigger. When I put it on 1/2 cock you can fire the gun. I did some research and found that some had issue's
with the inletting being to deep. So I put a shim under the trigger plate in the front. This seemed to take care of the issue. Now you are needing to pull the front trigger real hard
after setting the rear trigger. Where do I adjust the front trigger so it is a little bit easier to pull? This is going to be the wife's gun and I want it to be easy to shoot for her.

Maybe try backing off on the screw that's in between the triggers.

Turn the screw between the triggers in.

Now you have diametrically opposed answers. Grenadier is correct. Set the trigger then turn the screw between the triggers in (clockwise) until the trigger trips then un-screw it (counter-clockwise) 1/2 to 1 full turn. If the trigger won't trip with the screw all the way in, replace the screw with a longer one.

A set trigger with the screw all the way out still isn't hard to pull. It just has a lot of creep. The only thing that will make a front trigger stiffer is a bigger front trigger spring. Take a look at the front of the trigger where the front trigger spring rides. It may be hitting the front of the inlet or the rear of the front blade is hitting the wood. You can also smoke the triggers in a candle flame and install them. Then work the front trigger to see where the soot rubs off. If the triggers work out of the stock, something has to be hitting the wood.

Thanks Guys I got it working great! Now I need to order a new front sight and get out and work up the load and get it shooting!!
