Im looking for a long range sight set up for my whitworth rifle. Something that will reach out about 1000 yards. What are you guys using? I haven’t decided if I want to be period correct or not, but would love to hear different options of either. Also, I suppose there is no way around drilling a hole in the stock? I’ve seen them mounted in different places on the stock.

I would contact Lee Shaver at Lee Shaver gunsmithing. And or peruse this thread… Want to put a Vernier rear sight on a Parker Hale Whitworth
