A good friend that knows I'm into guns, came over to the house and gave me a old Rock Island Arsenal catalogue, as I was drooling threw it, I came across this delightful flintlock on the top page, with accompanying photo of lady holding the gun . Anybody seen a longer one ? Cheers,

I remember the Bugs Bunny cartoon where he was hunted by some Hillbillies. They had long guns and shot. The gun would rumble and vibrate shaking the shooter as well till it finely erupted.
Unfortunately the "woke" idiots have forced most of the old classics like that off the air.

I have a contemporary 20 gauge fowler with a 72" barrel. Only weighs 11# and can, and has, be shot offhand.

A few years ago on the ALR forum there was a beautiful rifle just finished that had, I think, a 56 inch barrel. Of course everyone gushed over it and said how great it was and on and on it went, until I posted. All I said was "I don't like it", and I didn't and I still don't. How dare me say that ! A 56 inch barrel is not practical as far as I was concerned, how dare me be honest and not fall in line with the others! 😁

Neat thread. Those sure are some super long guns. I like um! Many years ago I went to a small town near Seattle where a man had a chunk gun advertized. It was a huge punt gun so I passed. The mans surname was Hong. He was Norwegian.
