Anyone have any information on "Long's Locks of Denver"? A friend has a rifle that was built here localy by an individual 20 or more years ago and the lock on that gun is so marked. It's a percussion lock.
Thanks,

I have a Ron Long "Denver" marked lock on one of my guns. It must be thirty years old and is as good as new. These were very high quality locks. I think L&R makes a similar lock today.

I wonder if he is still in business.....remember seeing them in the Log Cabin lock display years ago......

If Ron Longs locks were/are "very high quality", for that reason alone, I doubt L&R makes anything similar. They may, however, make one that LOOKS similar.

The Hawken locks and triggers that ere formerly made by Ron Long are now being made by R. E. Davis. They are much better than those made by that other company.

All of Ron Longs Hawken hardware is made by R.E. Davis Company in Perrysburg, Ohio. The phone # that I have is: 1-419-833-1200.
Lock, triggers, and late Hawken breech from Longs patterns and molds.
