If only you were in NW Louisiana...

If you have place for us to hunt, I would consider driving down from northern wi. And I have land up here to reciprocate.
PM me and we could talk.

"Regional Forums" are on the way. They will be grouped by State and Country and should be available in the next couple of months.

They will be a great way to share regional news and stay in touch with people in your area.

To me an inline is not a muzzleloader it is a modern gun that has its bullet or shot pushed down from the front! :nono:

i agree completely, dont have any use for'em myself. however,i bet they would make good fence posts. :hmm:

Course it's only my opinion, but if you can avoid getting into debates with the IL crowd, hunting with them might not be too bad.

I went on a Javalina hunt with 6 other guys carrying my .45 cal Flintlock. They all had modern scoped centerfire rifles and, yes, a few comments were made about me being behind the times but I just chuckled saying things like "Ya, but it worked for people like my great grand dad."
We all got our "pigs" that year, even me with the outdated rifle.
Here again, after I got my pig, several of the guys were more respectful of my style of firearm, and several wanted to shoot it. Of course, I loaded it up for the ones who were interested and after firing it, they all took a little different view of it.
I would like to say they all went out and bought one, but I can't, but even several years later one of them would say things like "Remember that pig you shot with that Flintlock? That was something!"

i dont have a problem with a fella shootin' an inline if thats what floats his stick.i've got a couple of buddies i hunt with that dont muzzleload in any form all they hunt with are modern centerfires or rimfires, but i always hunt traditional and i also dress the part(you should see the looks i get at the local convenience store gettin' coffe in the morning before a squirrel hunt)it's just that it would be nice to have a huntin'pardner that shares some of the same interests.plus i would'nt be the only one gettin' funny looks.

I know when I went after javalins with my father-inlaw I took my .60 cal flinlock in AZ. My brother-inlaw and his buddy thought that was a hoot. They made fun of me all the way out to where we hunted.
Things really sobered up when I got one on the run at 45 yards and he cartwheeled end over end and stopped stone dead. That night all my Coronas and Lime were free. LOL

Regards, Dave

My son and I are looking for some hunting partners in Michigan! Any one got room in their black powder camp?

Thanks,
Mark C. Foster

Don't know how far west you are, but I am on the eastside, and like you there aren't too many over here. I also know there is a fellow that goes by whitetrash, from the KC area that shoots a 4 bore.
