looking for a mainspring for

Pedrosoli Liege pistol. Looked around. David Pedersoli site wants a minimum of $50 order. Suggestions on where to look? I scoured many sites with no luck.

Theres a chance from what I see that one can be fashioned from a 1858 remy main spring. Any thoughts on how to do so and cautions involved. Going into a different territory. I know its metal and I can shape it. but we get back to heat treating spring steel that was already worked. for those that have been there advise appreciated. Hate to see something that is fun to shoot sidelined by a simple piece of spring steel.
