I am looking for a quality kit that is at least 90% done. I live in North Carolina and want a rifle that someone living in North carolina would have carried during the Revelutionary war.or earlier. Would some of you be kind to offer some suggestions. Mudd Turtle.

Jim Chamber's Kits are great. They're very high quality, and come about 90%+ done. I'm no expert on who carried what from that region, but I would guess a Lancaster rifle or Virginia rifle would fit the bill. He's got kits in those.

Mudd Turtle,
The Muzzleloader Builder's Supply has a Early Virginia Rifle Kit 1750-1780. I have enclosed their web site. www.muzzleloaderbuilderssupply.com
Good Luck,
BPWRL

Tip Curtis Info:

Website? None

Tel.No.? 615-654-4445

Address? 4445 Jernican Rd., Cross Plains, TN 37049 (for mailing use PO Box 203)

Products? If he don't have it, you don't need it. Literally Hundreds on hundreds of barrels, stocks, locks, & more parts in one place than you can immagine. It truely is a smorgasborg of ML gun parts. Normally has over 100 ML rifles in stock from "in the white" to finished guns.

Email ? Since Tip's wife recently passed away, he is having a hard time keeping up with the farm, business & emails. (Joan did most of the email responses for him, etc.) He told me he is just too tired in the evenings to answer dozens of emails. So the best thing to do is call him on the phone.

Directions: Exit off I-65 at Exit 112 & go West towards Cross Plains, TN. Coming into Cross Plains, there is a barbecue place on the left & a big pink pig in the parkinglot, Jernican Rd is just on the other side of that parking lot. Turn left on Jernican & go about 1/2 mile & you will make a hill crest & then the road will bend to the right & his driveway is just past that crest on the left. Big cut limestone house sitting way back & the shop is a big white building on the left as you go back into the driveway. Call before ya go as he goes to most of the bigger ML events.
