Very Intresting piece, It appears to be a cutdown trade gun or perhaps a fowler, converted to percussion, the design of the grip is to make a war club out of it after the one shot. this was not an original pistol.the wire inlay appears to be from the original gun and not added by the person who cut it down. The lock looks like an original percusson lock and not a conversion. It looks like the lockplate has been modified to fit under the bolster, this gun has seen alot of use. Its hard to say what date it was used, but probably 1860- 1890. The face on the but appears to be a seal, it is simalar to one i have seen in museums. The basic gun appears to be a late flintlock model, If only it could talk and tell of its journey through time. It has probably had many owners since it was made. I hope this info is helpfull.

The picture of the underside has what looks like a reverse swastika (not nazi) but germanic / nordic maybe a whaling ship or cargo vessel of that period. The Pacific NW also has Russian trade routes ships and whalers.

Cool wall hanger though

The swastika is an acient symbol dating back some 3000 years. It has been used in cultures throughout the world including native American Indians tribes.
