I recently recieved the honor of being inducted into the buckskinner's War Eagle Society (WES). The WES is a loosely organized group that traces its roots to Vietnam Veterans, but has grown to include all military combat veterans who share a love for muzzleloading and buckskinning. Members fly either a red or a purple WES flag (for those wounded in combat) outside their lodges at rendezvous as a quiet sign of fraternity. My problem stems from the fact that I can't locate any more information on the society then what you've read above. Does anyone have information on the War Eagle Society or a source for the flags?
