Does anyone know about a reenactment/rondevous at the Stoney Creek Metro Park outside of Detroit?

Thanks,
Mark C. Foster

Hi Uncle Pig....
They've had a re-enactment battle & associated activities there for the past couple of years, but they are not having it there this year...why I don't know. I've visited it a couple of times in years past and it's good. There were a lot of re-enactors there from all over (Pennsylvania, Ohio, NY State and one of the highlights was a large battle between the British forces and the French forces. I think there were probably 300 "soldiers" or so. Hopefully it will return.

Since my post I have found the web site for the park. They have a reenactment on the schedule for June of 2008. I was hoping to get in contact with who ever organizes the event.

If anyone knows who that is please let me know.

I stand corrected! There IS an historical encampment on the park schedule. I've been to one of these & it is also worth seeing, although on a much smaller scale than the ones I referred to earlier. Sorry: can't help with who the group is.
