Hi guys!

I've recently got into shooting flintlocks and would like to get a trade rifle, preferably in 20ga. And I'd like to get a new gun, or at least unfired, but can't pay more than $1000. Does anyone know if such a piece exists and if so where?

I got a brand new one for less than that two years ago at a show. 20 ga., Chambers lock, Track barrel and fittings, and a custom stock. Might take a bit of looking to find one but they are around. Don't dismiss a used one as they are usually just fine if the owner properly cared for it.

You can always build one from a kit if you like. They are not difficult to build on the trade rifles.

Yes, I have and I intend to get the guy a call and see what his wait time is. If it's long enough, hopefully I can save up the money for one of his guns.

Save up a few hundred dollars more and get a Northstar West Gun. You will be very happy with it. Don't try to save a few dollars and not be happy, buy the best and you will never be disappointed.

The Pedersoli is not a very good representation of a trade gun, particularly the iconic dragon side plate. For some reason they invented one of their own that looks nothing like the real trade guns.
