Can you find it locally, or do you have to order it from Brownell's? Can you use a propane torch to resolder a barrel lug?

You can use the stuff from Home depot.
I have used their silver solder and flux made for pipes.
I used it for attaching sights and some underlugs.
You have to make sure its clean and well fluxed.

Several Hardware stores carry the low melting temperature Silver Solder.
The solder you want has about 4% Silver in it.

The stuff from Brownells' isn't any different unless you are looking at the high temperature solder that melts at over 1000 degrees F.
