I've discovered a Lyman .44 New Army still in the box at a local pawn shop. Anyone have any information on these and a "fair" value? I looked on the Lyman website and did not see this model. There is also an Euroarms model that has been fired, but appears in good condition. Thoughts.

My Bluebook of Modern Black Powder Values is about 3 years old, but it says a Lyman .44 Colt is worth about $160 in new condition.

zonie :)

I have one I picked up at a gunshow for $150. Haven't had a single problem with it and have already fired over 100 rounds.

That's good to hear. They have $199 listed, which means they'll take $130. They also have a Euroarms in similar condition for same price.

That Lyman New Model Army is a steal at that price. The Lyman marked replica percussion revolvers are some of the most collectable. I have seen these revolvers go for over $300 at auction with the original box.

Lyman's black powder revolvers were made by Armi San Paolo and Uberti.

Following are models that have been observed. If anyone knows of any others I would like to add them to the list.

Armi San Paolo (Now Euroarms)

1851 Navy
1851 Navy Civilian Model
1860 Army Civilian Model
Remington Beals Army
Remington Beals Navy

Uberti

Remington 1858 New Model Army
Remington 1858 New Model Navy
