Just bought a left handed GPR for my son and it has a saw cut flint in it. What size English flint should I buy for it?
Thanks

I use the Track of the Wolf Tom Fuller # ENG6 3/4x7/8" English flints on all my Lyman/Investarms.

When you order, be sure to tell them in comments for your order that you don't want any flints with a big hump, but want the thinner flints - they fit more securely.

I generally just measure the frizzen at the widest point and buy that size flint. A friend had one of those, you'll like that rifle.

Track of the Wolf recomends the 3/4" square knapped flints. I have been using them in my .54 GPR flinter for the last eight years, with great results

Like someone said, measure the width of the frizzen, and I'll add one more thing. With the hammer(or cock) at half cock, the distance from the jaw screw to just short of the frizzen face. I cut a small piece of wood and wrap the leather around it. Cut until you get the perfect fit. You can then measure the piece of wood. And you can use it to dry fire your rifle. I made a small gage and carry it in my pocket, when I go to a meet. I sort through the vendors box or flints, and pick the one's that fit. So far I've had no vendor complaints.
