Lyman GPR front sight replacement question…

I’m sure this has probably been asked before, but a search of the forum pulls up way too many GPR threads to filter thru, so forgive me… I was looking on TOW the other day and noticed they have a few front sights offered that nominally are made to replace the stock GPR sight.

I wanted to see if anyone here had used one of these and how you liked them? Was installation pretty easy?

I also wanted to ask, for those that have GPR’s, which you feel would be a more preferable replacement? The stock front sight is pretty high, would the .390 or the .275 height sight be a better choice?

I Always thought the standard GPR front sight was too thick and too high. the rear to narrow in the groove. Both easily corrected with files, but those two that you linked should be an easy install.

I’ve replaced mine with TOW from sights for GPR. Because I always have to file them down quite a bit I bought the shorter one. Still had to file it down some. Changing out both front and rear sights is pretty simple to do with a small hammer and a brass punch.
