Is there a fast twist drop in barrel available from other manufacturers than Lyman for the Lyman Great Plains? I wouldn't even bother if it were not for California "Lead Free" hunting zone.

GM used to make them, but a lot of the barrel companies are busy making machine gun barrels for the government. MidSouth sells fast twist barrels, but I think they are Lyman barrels. Hard to even find a blank to make one. Might try Numrich for a blank.

Ed Rayl told me that he could make one custom, either finished with sights or "in the white". For just a little bit more than something off-the-shelf, you can get exactly what you want!

My GPR drop-in is from Ed.
Decided to try the GPR because it has a double wedge instead of one like TC.
Want to take her hog hunting soon as ML deer season is over.

Don't just tease me! Which bullet, how many grains, what powder charge, and what did you dig the round out of? And which twist did you select? Ed was telling/teaching me about the 24 twist he makes for the 370 Maxi's I like to shoot.

Thanks,

Dave
