Got a chance to shoot my new Great plains rifle today. It has the slow twist round ball barrel and boy does it shoot. It will stack them in one after another. Just not in the center. I adjusted the sight all the way up and was still about 12in low. I guess I will have to file the front sight.
Also tried Ballistol for the first time for cleaning. I'm very happy with the results. Took me about half as long as normal for cleaning. It really takes the fowling out quick. And I feel like it leaves a oily residue after it drys.

How many shots through the gun so far? Are you using the factory fixed or adjustable rear sight?

Mine is a 54. I have put about 20 rounds through mine so far. I have shot from 70 grains to 120 and they are all in the same area. It will shoot one raged hole at 25 yards. I'm very happy with the rifle and have ordered me a peep sight for it. Hope I can post some pics next time out.

I love my GPR, use the buckhorn sight, instead of the blade.... big difference and you'll be happy. But yes, I can stack those shots, shot after shot with rested shooting... and off hand, shoots awesome as well. Here is a 4 shot group at 50 yards, from a rested position.
