I cannot find a nipple for my GP 50 in So California, I have 4 wrong ones 2 from Turners and 2 from Big Johns, :cursing: what is the screw size ??? Thanks :)

Man, those stock Lyman nipples are horrid. Too wide at the bottom. The cap won't seat properly. I just filed around the base and brought the profile to roughly cylindrical. If you take off too much, no biggee, just pinch the caps obling a bit and they stay put just fine. Ignition assured.

I learned that on my first GPR. I replace the factory nipple before the gun is shot the first time now.

That's odd. I've never had a problem with the Lyman nipples.

My factory nipple was fine for a couple of years. Then it got to where it wouldn't pop caps. I replaced it with a Spit Fire nipple from Dixie and never had a problem since. That was over 20 years ago.
