Lyman Plains Pistol 54 cal

I am thinking of buying one of these for pistol matches at rendezvous. I have big hands and this seems to fit better than most. I am leaning toward the 54 over the 50 because of balance. Does anyone have experience with this pistol?

My .54 shoots well with 40 grains of 3f. I wish the sights were bigger.
