Dumb question time...Has anyone converted the percussiom Lyman which is mounted (to me) the most sensible for cleaning and service, to a flintlock? I know...why would any idiot want to? But that's not what I'm asking..,coudja woudja didja??? :youcrazy: GrampaJ in NC

I have the percussion version and I would not want to try. It won't be easy.

makeumsmoke has a T/C New Englander which has been converted to flint. That makes me think it could be done with the snail type breech. I think the GPP is only available in percussion and as far as I know the lock is specific to a GPP. The New Englander conversion has readily available flint locks to use... :idunno:
Sounds cool tho. If you get it done please post the results.

I believe you're right Jethro, the pistol lock is made only in percussion and doesn't interchange with any other lock.
