made this to day from 2.5mm natural cow hide, leather is so dear to by here now i paid $40 for a pice 36"x13" the arabs and chineses get our leather cheaper.

Very nice WW, how did you get the leather to conform around the handle? Did you wet it with the knife in it?

yes 20 seconds under the hot water tap knife wraped in glad wrap.

neat job Bernie. you must have a heavy-duty sewing machine. as others suggested I think it would look better dark dyed.
 
Thanks WW for the info. I've got a skinner with a good sized whitetail antler base that I need to make a sheath for. :thumbsup:
 
thanks guys i do like the sheath ala natural but did do this to it,i dont use a machine to stich the leather i hand stich.
