Today was our first day of muzzleloader season in Pa. I got a pretty good sized doe this evening. The shot was at 40 yards with a 58 T.C. renegade with a 570 rb and 120 grs. of Goex 2f. It was a double lung hit and the deer went nowhere. I was going to try to post a picture but it was raining and getting dark, so maybe next time. It sure felt good to drop the hammer on game.

This season is an excellent way to get a kid out hunting without having to deal with the extremes we sometimes face in the Dec/Jan flintlock season. Even though our bow season is in, the deer are still relatively unpressured and predictable. Good job, TC! :redthumb:

congratulations with the .58 caliber... I will be using my .58 caliber this season and hope I can have similar results... Way to go.
