I am wanting to make some stuff for my first flinter. What can I make? I know how to make a priming device but what about a brush, knapping hammer, pick, jaw tightning rod, ect.

You imagination is the limit on what you can or wan to make. Just look at some of the stuff other folks have made to give you some ideas then do your own interpetation.
Here is some stuff I've made;
The bag is brain tanned leather with trade cloth wool panels and beads made by my wife. I made the gun, powderhorn, touchhole pick, and pan brush.

A patch knife and ball block that I made.

You need a combo tool....
Discregard the forks and blanket pin. The combo tool is a pick, screw stick and knapping hammer in one. I'm making the pick part smaller now on my newer models. Use steel with some carbon it in too or the blade of the screw driver won't hold up to heavy use. they sell these all over on the web.

What skills do you have, now? If you can work in wood you can make loading blocks, short starters and such. You can adapt that skill into working horn, antler and bone to make powder horns and measures. Cutting and shaping metal should not be too much of a stretch, so you could make your vent pick and turnscrews.
Get some how-to books, and give it a try. You won't regret any of it. Even my mistakes have been at least good for a laugh.

I have been thinking about a powder measure out of antlers which I know I can make, I have already made one ball block and I am going to make another one. I can probably make a pick out of and old nail if I take it to the dremel. How do you make a pan brush? I am thinking I could take a 22 rimfire casing and put some glue in the bottom then use some deer hair or whatever. As for those combo tools I am not sure I can make one of those. I am thinking about getting a patch knife kit to put together.

I got a lot of oak from a furniture store because something broke. I saw the oak they were trashing and asked If I could have it. I know it will make a good ball block.

I have made brushes out of horse hair. (Learned this from an artist.) First, find a horse. You're looking for coarse hair, so find a workhorse with a mane that stands up. Your on your own negotiating with the horse about snipping off some hair. :grin: Take a hank and twist some paperclip wire around the middle. Fold the hair in half at the wire and stuff it into your ferrule. (Ferrule is any kind of tube; brass, tin, whatever. Like the ferrules on a fishing rod.)
Glue the hair in there with just about any good glue. After it sets, trim the brush with a scissors. There you go; a basic brush.
(You could also use boar bristle, but horses are usually friendlier.)

Here are a few things I have made, guess the striker's not a part of the gun stuff but it was in the picture. Also hooks are nice.

Yes, I made all the stuff on both of the pictures, its the stuff I carry when trekking. Well not the hooks their holding the guns on the wall.
