When you guys make your leggings (out of leather)do you stitch a straight line from your thigh to your calf or do you cut it in a little to fit snugger at the knee?

Alot will depend on your preference. My leather leggins are fitted snug from my thigh to just below my lower calf. Be prepaired to take them in with time for they will most likely stretch with wear. I have resewn my deerhide pair three times now. I believe you'll find that a fitted pair rides best.

By the way very good Year!!

Snug around the knee is the worst place for me. A little loose around the knee makes for comfort when kneeling. I like mine close-fitting but NOT snug.

The easiest way I found, is wrap the skin around your leg and staple it where they come together at several places along the length. Then squat/kneel down and see if it fits comfortably. if yes, then sew. If no, repeat until it fits comfortably.

Remember that your foot (with a sock) may need to fit through the lower part, so tailor accordingly. I like mine to flair a little from mid calf to the ankle so my foot (with stockings) doesn't get stuck.....
