To help you get through the post-hunting season I have decided to aid in keeping your tracking skills honed to a razor's edge...

What animal (in general, not worried about subspecies) made these tracks?

8's not a domesticated dog or a coyote. They can't retract their claws. I vote fox.

5: Goat toes are pointy. Baby moose? I'll guess sheep.

The birdies are tougher without scale.

6: turkey

2: pheasant

Others as reported

# 2 look like ruffed growse tracks and that blunt ungulate looks like a moo cow or cape buffalo. they could a closeup of caribou as well. Very blunt and same size front to back, pretty much.
: Moose are much sharper than those.

This is fun (mostly for me) :winking: :haha: :haha:

Answers:

1: bear
2: pheasant
3: rabbit
4: beaver
5: elk
6: wild turkey
7: goose
8: fox

Not bad.
1. Field mouse
2. Red Squirrel
3. Cruziana (the fossilized trail of a Trilobite). This is 305 million year old sandstone. I've always been fasinated by trilobites.

4. Proof of the elusive "Snow Snake" (a hoax photo).

They look somewhat close, trilobite & turtle tracks...

I don't believe I've seen that blunt a track from an elk before. Maybe I should hunt mature beasts - HA!

The rounded track you spoke of was in deep mud, I guess thats why it looked that way...

Here are some Wapiti tracks...
Ha, they almost look like elk tracks...
